We provide various types of blower door tests;

  1. Blower Door Test on new/existing dwelling, measure leakage, advise on the ACH or Permeability, detect, locate & diagnose leak points, provide strategy or plan on how to improve performance of the dwelling.

  2. Passive House Blower Door Compliance Test, requires two tests;
    • Stage 1, membrane completion stage (prior to wall linings).
    • Stage 2, completion of dwelling for certification.

  3. Passive House Blower Door Construction Test, to help find leak points, we use smoke and infra-red cameras to detect, locate & diagnose leak points, either we show you or we can fix the leaks before you get the official Passive House Stage 1 test by us or another Technician.

  4. BCA verification J1V4 or H6V3 rather than the DtS provisions

Indicatively prices are;

  • $550 inclusive of GST for each test, inclusive of infrared camera & smoke pencil., general chat and look for leaks.
  • Additional $100 for smoke test, we fill the dwelling with smoke and pressurise the home, we can stand outside and see where the leaks are!

Unlike most testers, we don’t just do the test and leave you to it!

We work with you, use smoke and infrared cameras to help find leakage points, seal them immediately if possible or provide prioritised easy, low cost steps to take through to significant air sealing work.

Smoke works well prior to cladding & internal membrane, IR can be done depending on temperature pre or post internal membrane.
